our preaching

preaching schedule

DECEMBER 1st – “Avoiding the Christmas Rush” – Luke 1:39-45, 56; 21:25-36 – You can make sure this Christmas doesn’t pass you by without feeling like you have captured the essence of what Christmas is truly all about. You can accomplish this by following 3 guidelines that Mary modeled for us: slow down, evaluate, and ask for advice.

DECEMBER 8th – “Adjusting Our Focus” – Luke 1:46-55 – You can experience the miracle of Christmas by focusing on what is truly God- honoring this holiday season. Focus on God, not yourself. Focus on your blessings, not your troubles. Focus on the spiritual, not the material.

DECEMBER 15th – “Managing the Inevitable Distractions” – Luke 2:1-5; Philippians 4:4-7 – All of us face distractions and complications during the holidays. What methods can we use to overcome these distractions? Rejoice in the Lord and forget about your distractions for awhile. Be considerate to everyone. Turn over your distractions to God in prayer. Then you will be blessed with the peace of Christmas.

DECEMBER 22nd -  “You’re Invited to a Party” – Luke 2:6-20 – We can celebrate the miracle birth of God’s Son even in less than ideal circumstances by responding the way the shepherds did. We need to: eagerly search for Jesus, share the Good News with others after we find Him, and sing praises to God no matter where you find yourself in life.
