Jesus' first coming passed almost unnoticed: He was born in a very small, out of the way town and laid in a manger with only animals and shepherds to greet him. Even at the peak of his ministry, Jesus could say "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the son of Man has no place to lay his head." (Luke 9:58 NIV)How different Jesus' second coming will be! "Then every eye will see Him" (Revelation 1:7 NIV) and He will come with glory and power to establish His kingdom of perfect justice and righteousness. No one will be able to dismiss Him as insignificant or unimportant; all will aknowledge Him as King of kings and Lord of lords!
Does the thought of His return fill you with concern or terror? If so, why? It shouldn't make you feel afraid or concerned at all IF you have trusted Him as your Lord and Savior and you have put your life into His hands. If that's the case, Jesus' return should fill you with expectant joy and readiness!
Make sure you are ready for His return. "At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory." Mark 13:26 NIV
